SMTA provides many benefits for music professionals. Belonging to our group also provides additional opportunities in music and related activities for those interested in expanding their interests and supporting the community as a whole. Here is a brief overview of those events, activities and services.
Referrals for Students – Grouped by geographic area, SMTA has liaisons who assist placing students with member teachers.
Teacher Educational Programs – Monthly programs and annual events provide invaluable learning experiences.
“Overtones” Monthly Newsletter -- Keeps members informed of upcoming events, the latest Association news, and items of interest to all music teachers
“Friends” Membership — Available for your adult students (fee applies). Interested, sponsored adults may attend all meetings and receive the monthly newsletter.
Use of Steinway Piano and Recital Hall — Available at Holy Names Music Center for recitals and performances (fee applies). A great location for studio recitals along with a wonderful piano for students to enjoy!
Student Recitals – Several times each year, recitals are held at Holy Names Music Center for students of any teacher who would like an extra performance opportunity.
Friends, Fellowship, & Networking
